Eagle
Saw a real live bald eagle this morning, while I was on the bus to work. It was right where the I-90 bridge meets the western edge of Mercer Island, perched atop a large tree, looking out over the lake. I had to ask a coworker later to verify that there is bald eagle habitat around these parts; at first, I wasn’t sure if it was possible that I saw what I thought I saw. But I guess they do live around here (though not in great numbers, obviously) and I really did see one. It was thrilling.
