Another quotation

I am done with great things and big plans, great institutions and big success. I am for those tiny, invisible loving human forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water, which, if given time, will rend the hardest monuments of pride.

Internet radio

So, at some point I’m still hoping to get the Linux box up again and stream some audio direct from home to the internets using Icecast. In the meantime, I’m content to let Last.fm do much of the work for me. If you haven’t used Last.fm before (although I suspect I’m the last one to try it) I recommend it highly. I’ve been having a lot of fun the last week or so, just poking around the site, adding songs to my profile, checking out other users’ selections, and (the best part) listening to the results for many hours. Now that I’m so happy with my playlist, I went ahead and made a donation so I could share with the world. If you’d like to check it out, I added a popup button to my station over on my ‘pedicel’ project site. To listen, you’ll need a broadband connection, some sort of mp3 player (I prefer iTunes, duh) and a Last.fm account. Don’t let that last part scare you; you can sign upright in the station window, and absolutely no personal information is required.

As you might expect, there’s a lot of the post-glitch, electro-organic thing goin’ on, and plus also some dub, soul, and a few other surprises. Do give a listen, won’t you? Thanks.

UPDATE: Fixed broken link to the pedicel radio page. Sorry about that.
