Baby in motion!
I got Lorie a new camcorder for Christmas. We’re still learning the ins and outs of iMovie, but until I figure out how to do more interesting editing and add cool music and stuff, here’s 30 seconds of Lucy wiggling around and looking cute and stuff.

So, right this very second, I am standing on the Dempster Street L platform in Evanston. I am able to post because I’m connected to the web via the free wi-fi at Café Express, which reaches up over here. Neat. Just thought you’d wanna know.

Sure, you think your children are getting a good early introduction to hip, with their Dan Zanes and their Laurie Berkner. Maybe you even treat them to a little Elizabeth Mitchell, for that Downtown sort of faux-Lomax vibe.
But I am here to tell you, what your kid really needs, for her top-notch introduction to soul in pint-sized format, is to experience Rufus Thomas doing “Old McDonald Had a Farm”(mp3 link).
