good pata weather
Yesterday was a perfect day for knitting outside in the garden and warming one's patas in the sun.
I was working on the new pink Chickami that I am making with the Rowan Calmer. Which does seem to have a soothing effect, and live up to its name. On the bus, going to and coming from my interview, I got quite a bit done. Imagine the feats of knitting I would accomplish if I had a total 4 hour commute to work and back every day. Omg.
The suburbs proved maybe a teeny bit less hellish than I had imagined. Hellish nonetheless but the bus stop wasn't as in the middle of nowhere as I had pictured. In fact, it was on a busy street, but not a highway (I still would not have wanted to be riding my bike there, egads) which had a crosswalk, but no sidewalks. Go figure.
It occurred to me that the point might be in some cases one might have to walk from one vast parking lot to another. Not sure why when you could drive.
In any event, I digress.
Oh yeah, and the interview went well.
So who knows.
Meanwhile, back in the garden.
The irises are looking splendid.
There are some very sassy little cement friends out there.
And plus, have you seen my wiener?
Omg, that's so juvenile. A thousand apologies.
I couldn't help myself.

As I looked at that last one, I couldn't help but think that Concrete Dachshund would be a great band name. Don't you think?
I'm glad you're having Spring-type weather up there and are no longer covered in snow. Hooray for irises! Hooray for job interviews!

Concrete Wiener would be a good band name, too.

I like the Irises. They remind me of a Van Gogh exhibit I saw in Ottawa several years ago. Hope you survive the reverse commute to suburbia should this become routine.
