Bobbles! Plus, spinning of a different sort.

Suddenly I found myself seized- seized!- by the urge to knit bobble stitch washcloths. How does it happen?? I don't know, but its very addictive.

(Perhaps an afghan?)

What is it that is so satisfying about bobble stitch?
Its fun to say, its fun to do. Try it! Its good for you.

Plus there is a new begonia blooming in my little garden.
And these pretty purple thingies-

Here is something interesting, just fyi. Democracy Now had a show devoted to Norman Solomon and the Media Education Foudation's documentary "War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death." Its totally fascinating and well worth a listen- or you can read the transcript at the DN link above.
And plus, it will make your head spin, really.(and what is it about spinning that is so dear to knitters? You see? Stealth knitting content!)
The main thing that struck me about it was the mechanisms which are in place that create and sustain wars have discernible cycles to them. Which are pretty transparent, except for the mass hypnosis element. Very creepy. Fascinating, and creepy. Give it a listen.
