Baby knittin + a happy dogue
Ok, so I started this log cabin blankie also known as Moderne from Mason and Dixon Knitting.

Who knew that garter stitch could be so fun??

Apparently some people have not had a happy time with this pattern but for me, so far, so good. We'll see.
The beauty part is you can zone out and not even pay any attention to what you're doing, you can read subtitles even, if you happen to be watching a film, or you can watch the little tornado and flood warnings on the tv and your hands can just keep going. And the result is quite pleasing. I think.
Anyway.
Marcel has been bored to tears but we did go to the park today and I did torment him with the camera, which he hates.

After a while he was done indulging me.

Oh, and this bloomed in our front yard-

It smells nice, kind of like Marcel, who would like to point out that he had a bath last week and is petunia-fresh. He also knows that that is a peony. He peed on it. Ha.

Other stuff.
Sometimes it has been almost like summer around here. Things are looking green and pink and black and white and purple and yellow all over in the garden-
And Marcel is digging it as long as it isn't too overly damp. He hates the damp.

Here he is pretending to tolerate it.
He also hates it when I make him model my knitting experiments

(I'm fixin' to do some baby knitting- thus more experimentation with interesting border options)

Ah the pastel goodness. It was hard to tell online that the color was quite as light, it looked a lot brighter but I should have known. I'm hoping to make a stripey blankie or a log cabin pattern of some sort.
Oh, yeah. The garden.

Its pretty.

And kind of magical.

And every time I look at it I am reminded that I live a charmed life.

Indeed.
Here are Marcel's friends, Brandi and Oliver, in their splendor, in their yard at their mom's yard sale-

Brandi was having greyhound ennui.

Big time.
Oliver was dreaming he was a diver-

Or Superman.

Marcel was not actually interested in a blender or some sort of hair curling contraption, or even a teddy bear in a sweater-

He was avoiding the grass under his toes.

Its true.

I have a new obsession, a game I am calling Pie Chart Jeopardy.
Use the clues to come up with the corresponding demographic or situation. In the form of a question, of course.
